Privacy Policy

Data Controller

This privacy policy describes how STUDIO 3NA, a simplified joint-stock company (SAS) with share capital of €1,000, registered with the Perpignan Trade and Companies Register under number 992 999 144, with its registered office at APP 12, 6 Rue Antoni Gaudi, 66270 Le Soler, France (“we”, “Studio 3NA”), collects and processes your personal data when you use the Hana website and services.
To run its player community, Studio 3NA relies on the Games2gether platform (“G2G”), operated by a third-party partner. Part of the processing described below is carried out through this platform.

Data Collected

When you register via Google or Discord, we collect: first name, last name, username, and email address. When you register with an email address, we collect the email address, the chosen username, the password (stored only in hashed form) and your newsletter preference.
We also collect data generated by your activity on our services and on the Games2gether platform: nickname, avatar, contributions (comments, votes, suggestions, feedback), engagement metrics, and technical data (IP address, device and browser type, connection history).
Finally, in order to plan the opening of regional game servers, we automatically collect, without any input on your part, environment data linked to your account: the time zone and language of your device or browser, an approximate country derived from that time zone, the channel through which you discovered Hana (campaign parameters in the URL or the referring site of your first visit), and the date of your last in-game connection. This information is deleted together with your account.

Purposes and Use of Data

We process your data for the following purposes:

  • create, manage, and secure your user account (performance of the contract);
  • run the community and gather your feedback and insights via the Games2gether platform (performance of the contract and legitimate interest);
  • improve the Hana game and the player experience (legitimate interest);
  • plan the opening and sizing of regional game servers, based on statistics aggregated by time zone, language, and region (legitimate interest);
  • send you service-related communications and, where applicable, our newsletter (legitimate interest or consent);
  • present and showcase community activity and engagement to Games2gether’s business prospects and clients (B2B) for demonstration and promotion purposes (legitimate interest).

The Games2gether Platform (G2G)

Games2gether is a B2B community solution that lets studios create an engagement space, gather feedback, and co-build the experience with their players. When you take part in our community, your contributions and engagement data are hosted and processed on this platform.
In this context, the operator of Games2gether acts as a processor on behalf of Studio 3NA for community management. It may also, as an independent data controller, use community activity data to operate, demonstrate, and promote its platform.

Display of Your Data to B2B Prospects

In order to demonstrate the effectiveness of the Games2gether platform, certain data relating to your public activity within the community (for example: nickname, avatar, public contributions, engagement statistics) may be presented or displayed to Games2gether’s business prospects and clients (studios, publishers, brands) for commercial demonstration purposes.
This processing is based on the legitimate interest of Studio 3NA and Games2gether in promoting their services. You may object to it at any time by contacting us (see “Your Rights”).

Data Sharing

Your data is never sold. It may be shared with:

  • our technical service providers and processors, in particular Games2gether (community management), Amazon Web Services (hosting) and Stripe (payment of shop purchases);
  • the authentication providers you choose (Google, Discord);
  • Games2gether’s business prospects and clients, under the conditions described in the previous section;
  • administrative or judicial authorities where required by law.
Any transfer of data outside the European Economic Area is governed by the appropriate safeguards provided for by the GDPR (in particular the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses).

Shop purchases and payment

When you buy a founder pack on playhana.com, the payment is handled by our provider Stripe Payments Europe Ltd (Ireland), a processor within the meaning of the GDPR. Stripe collects your payment data directly (card, billing address, country, VAT number where applicable) to complete the transaction, prevent fraud, compute VAT and issue the invoice; the Studio never has access to it and stores no banking data. The Studio keeps your order history (pack, amount, currency, date, status, Stripe transaction identifiers), your cosmetic choices and, for a gifted pack, the generated access keys and the account that redeemed them, for the lifetime of the account and then 10 years under accounting obligations.
To apply the price reserved for backers of our Kickstarter campaign, your account email address is matched against the backer list that Kickstarter provided to us (name, email address, pledge amount and chosen reward). This list is kept until every reward of the campaign has been delivered.
Stripe’s processing is described in its privacy policy.

Emails

You may receive service-related emails (e.g., newsletter, community notifications).
Each marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.

Retention Period

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active, then for up to 3 years after your last contact with us, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
You may request deletion of your account at any time.

Security

Data is stored in a secure database and protected against unauthorized access. Access is restricted to authorized personnel acting within the scope of their duties.

Our website and the Games2gether platform use cookies and trackers. To learn more and manage your preferences, please see our cookie policy.

Your Rights

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:

  • right of access to your data,
  • right to rectify your data,
  • right to erasure (right to be forgotten),
  • right to object to processing, including the display of your data to B2B prospects,
  • right to data portability and right to restriction of processing,
  • right to withdraw your consent at any time.

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services or applicable regulations. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.
